My host does not allow any background processes to be run, Do I need to run any for the dating software? (example: servlet, or IM server, IRC server, etc.)
In addition, on average, with 2000 users, how much bandwidth is normally used monthly?

The only process that needs to be run is Cron Jobs. If your server supports this than ok. This is the main process that perfoms most of the actions on site.

We do not collect this kind of statistics sorry to say.

What type of actions. How often does it need to run?

Can you give me at least an estimate? I figure you are running a few sites yourself. What do they use in bandwidth and how many members do you have on them? |

It is set up to run each 10 minutes. In addition each time a user signs up it runs. There are several processes that depend on Cron Jobs such as membership, registration, notifications and in site correspondence. |
